I needed a quick and easy and portable project to bring around with me.
So I cast on some Homespun for a kitty blankey. In all fairness, I had been wanting to make a blanket for the local animal shelter, so this was a good excuse, mostly. It's portable ... for now...
I didn't even put it on the list. :(
Ok. So, ASAP (when I'm not knitting-on-the-go) I'll knock a few things off my to-do list and add this.
Yes, but I'm pretty sure you mentioned an animal shelter-related knitting goal somewhere in your blog, so it totally counts.
ReplyDeleteFunny, I've been itching to knit with Homespun. It's strangely addictive. I did a garter stitch blanket with it for my grandmother-in-law a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
OMG. I hate this stuff! The fluffy bucles like homespun and baby clouds catch my needles and it's hard to keep an even guage. It's driving me up a wall. Part of the impetus for this project was to get this benighted yarn out of my stash! ... but I'm glad you're not having the same experience. It does knit up awfully pretty and lovely to touch.
